One of the biggest advantages of choosing cabinet refinishing over replacement is how manageable the process can be for daily life. At Red Bone Refinishing, we’ve refined our process over many years to keep Lexington families cooking and living comfortably throughout most of their project.
Phase 1: Door & Drawer Removal
We begin by carefully removing your cabinet doors and drawer fronts, then take them back to our shop for refinishing. This first phase allows you to continue using your kitchen normally for approximately 3–4 weeks.
Phase 2: Cabinet Frame Spraying
Once the doors are complete, we return to spray the cabinet frames. This is the most hands-on phase and typically lasts 3–4 days. During this time, we carefully cover and protect everything inside your cabinets so you don’t have to empty them out. You’ll need to avoid using the cabinets and cooking oily foods for these few days.
Phase 3: Final Reinstallation
After the frames have cured, we return to reinstall your beautifully finished doors and drawer fronts. This final step usually takes a few days depending on the size of your kitchen.
